The New Work Festival is a three-night celebration of bold, urgent performance at Theatre in the Mill. Rooted in our artist development programmes, the festival is a platform for experimentation, global majority storytelling, offering fresh perspectives across live art, comedy, and theatre, plus a powerful new premiere developed in residence.
We open on Thursday, 13 November with Untitled 4: How Are You?, the sharing of our Untitled 4 cohort, an artist development programme focused on the development of new ideas.
On Friday, 14 November, New Act, New Work presents a night of radical comedy. Comedy powerhouse, workshop facilitator and champion of our comedy workshops at Theatre in the Mill, Seeta Wrighton brings her solo show “It’ll Be All Wrightson on the Night, Son” to the Studio.
The festival closes on Saturday, 15 November with the scratch premiere of Pen Portraits – It’s Our Time by Sudha Bhuchar.
