Dear friends,
It’s been several months since we shared how the Coronavirus crisis would be impacting Theatre in the Mill’s activity, and launched our Covid Response programme of work. Our doors have been closed since March and will continue to be closed for the time being; the layout of our buildings requires strict measures in order to enable social distancing and we are looking at how to facilitate artists to safely and usefully access our resources. In the meantime we’ve been supporting artists to develop their practice at home and building plans for future projects.
We don’t yet know when we will be able to invite audiences back into Theatre in the Mill. We miss the buzz of our café-bar and a packed out studio, and sharing space and laughter with you. We hope we’ll be able to do that again next year.
Theatre in the Mill is lucky to be part of the University of Bradford and funded by Arts Council England, and our core team of four has been working from home throughout lockdown. Every weekday morning 10-11am we come together for Open Office, a Zoom meeting where anyone can pop in if they fancy a chat. Please do come and say hi if you’ve got any questions about our plans – we’d love to see your face.
Love,
Rich, Jyothi, Ivan and Hélène
