Theatre in the Mill

Arts & Activism Workshop Programme,

focusing on collaboration, learning new skills and having fun, the workshops are designed to give participants a set of tools which will support their journey into learning about the arts and becoming more active citizens.

Art & Activism Workshop Programme

All workshops (unless otherwise stated) will take place on Wednesday afternoons, 2.00pm-4.00pm at  Theatre in the Mill. The course is free of charge and open to anyone interested in culture, identity, the environment and arts practice.

Places are limited to 15 and we ask if you sign up, you are committed to attending all sessions.

Course Leaders: Dr. Karen D. Thornton, Associate Professor Film and Television Production. Karen’s main research interest focuses on discourses of power and representation in contemporary film and television.

Shabina Aslam, Theatre in the Mill. Shabina’s main research interest focuses on co-creation of interdisciplinary arts between artists and communities.
