Help applying for ACE Covid-19 Support

Hi! I’m Jyothi. I’m the Senior Producer at Theatre in the Mill, and from Tuesday 7th to Thursday 30th April, I’m dedicating half of my working time to helping northern artists register with Grantium and apply for ACE Covid-19 Emergency Support.

You may or may not have seen that Arts Council England have announced new funding for organisations and individuals hit by the cancellation of work in the face of the Covid crisis. If you earn at least half your income through the arts, you can apply for up to £2,500 to help you cope with that lost income and the costs of cancellation.

I know that Arts Council applications can be daunting, frustrating and hard to access. If you don’t know whether you’re eligible, maybe you could use a chat. If you’ve never looked at Grantium (their online portal for this stuff) before, then maybe you want a helping hand in navigating all this. If you’re not sure what kind of language to use, or how to describe your work, maybe you want someone to send a draft application to. Or maybe I can be of some other use.

If you’re an individual based in the North of England wanting to apply for (or consider applying for) ACE Covid-19 Emergency Support and would like my help in the process, send an email to with ‘ACE Emergency Support’ as the subject line or drop me a message on Twitter. I’ll try to get back to you as soon as possible, but I don’t know how many people will want a helping hand so please bear with me.

Chat to you soon.
